Privacy.

Optale AS is the data controller. This page covers what we collect, why, where it lives, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Optale website and the products described under /systems.

What we collect

Contact data when you write to us. Email address, name, and the contents of your message. Stored when you email any address listed under /contact.

Opportunity Map leads when you submit the diagnostic. Name, work email, company, role, website, selected operating profile, selected systems, bottlenecks, outcomes, notes, and the generated map summary. Draft diagnostic answers are stored in your browser until you reset them or clear site data.

Limited site analytics. Aggregated, anonymized page-view counts. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Operational telemetry inside our products. When you use Optale products under contract, we process the data described in the relevant Data Processing Agreement. That data is governed by your DPA, not by this page.

Why we collect it

  • To respond to messages you send us. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a business.
  • To evaluate and respond to Opportunity Map submissions. Legal basis: legitimate interest in qualifying potential engagements.
  • To improve the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring what works.

Where it lives

Norway and EU. We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA without a documented safeguard (Standard Contractual Clauses plus a transfer impact assessment). The vendors we use to run the site are listed under /security.

How long we keep it

  • Email correspondence and Opportunity Map submissions: up to 36 months from last contact, then deleted unless we have an active engagement with you.
  • Site analytics: up to 12 months in aggregated form.
  • Customer DPA-scoped data: per DPA.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you what we have on you (access)
  • correct inaccurate data (rectification)
  • delete data we no longer need to keep (erasure)
  • limit how we use data while we sort something out (restriction)
  • export data in a portable format (portability)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
